Motocross is my passion and I am super excited to bring you interviews with some of the fastest motocross racers on the planet, Zach Osborne and Blake Baggett. In addition, I interview Jason Weigandt, a broadcaster for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series on NBCSN and Senior Editor at Racer X, motocross fans and even the kettle corn lady. This was my first experience recording interviews at an event away from my office. It’s quite a different skill set being out in the elements with the sun, heat, humidity and having to manage a handheld recorder. But, I believe I handled it well. I did this so that you will get a glimpse into the world of motocross as I gain interview miles out in the field while recording. This is a break from my typical episode and focus, but it will not replace my traditional format, just something new for me and you. Let me know what you think. Be sure to visit my website at http://timlaskis.com/resources to get your discount rate for today’s sponsors, BlueHost and Long Tail Pro. In 2006, Jesse and his brother, Aaron, had an opportunity to purchase several tons of Pinot Noir, their favorite varietal. It cost them their life savings, but the opportunity was too good to pass up. Using the facilities at August Briggs Winery, owned by their uncle Joe, they produced a wine that was all their own –the first vintage of Romililly Pinot Noir. They made a lot of mistakes and learned plenty. Their little 200-case vintage gained them a lot of attention, earning a 93 rating from the Pinot Report. For the next five years, they kept at it, slowly increasing their production, but never enough to satisfy demand, so they kept growing the business. Jesse says it is all about family, learning by doing, taking on more than they can probably handle, and including wine in every part of their lives. They pride themselves on being upstarts in the winemaking industry, not winemaking royalty, and their renegade approach influences the wine they make and it keeps them hungry for success. Be sure to check them out at http://augustbriggs.com and http://Romililly.com. Also, you can stop by any of the wine tasting rooms in northern California
